If you have a large group you’re trying to gather, the planning process can seem overwhelming. Here are a few tips to help smooth the process from the reunion planning pros at Mill Creek Ranch Resort, a Dallas special events venue.

First, if several families are involved, you will need to start talking to them early to gauge their interest and availability. You may want to start this up to six months to a year in advance, depending on how many people will be involved. While you’re talking to them, be alert for any signs that they might be willing to help! The more help, the better. Gather email addresses or start a facebook group for easier communication.

When you’ve got a good idea of when and how many people will be interested in attending, you can pick a venue. If you have a photographer in the family, see if they’ll take pictures. Keep everybody up to date on who’s doing what. If you’ve got an email or facebook group going, posting updates will not only keep everyone informed, it’ll keep everyone excited about the upcoming reunion.
