Planning a Reunion Near Dallas? Special Events Are Even More Special at Mill Creek Ranch Resort

Reunions can be a great way to gather your family and catch up with family members you haven’t seen in a while (or new ones you might not have met yet!). If you have a large group you’re trying to gather, the planning process can seem overwhelming. Here are a few tips to help smooth the process from the reunion planning pros at Mill Creek Ranch Resort, a Dallas special events venue.

First, if several families are involved, you will need to start talking to them early to gauge their interest and availability. You may want to start this up to six months to a year in advance, depending on how many people will be involved. While you’re talking to them, be alert for any signs that they might be willing to help! The more help, the better. Gather email addresses or start a facebook group for easier communication.

When you’ve got a good idea of when and how many people will be interested in attending, you can pick a venue. Keep in mind that Dallas special events venues can require plenty of advance notice for large groups, so call as soon as you can to make reservations for your 2014 weekend reunion. You will also want to be sure you are aware of any family members with special needs and make sure the venue you have chosen can accommodate them (wheelchair accessibility, etc). If you’ve got an email or facebook group going, posting updates will not only keep everyone informed, it’ll keep everyone excited about the upcoming reunion. The 39th Annual Grand Saline Salt Festival is happening this weekend! Come out for a stay in one of our beautiful Texas cabins or bring the RV, and enjoy all the festivities of the Salt Festival!

The Salt Festival celebrates the heritage of Grand Saline as the home of Morton Salt.
