This popular flea market hosts around 5,000 vendors who sell a wide assortment of different items. Folks come from all over searching for the perfect flea market find, despite being able to purchase goods online. It is quite a nice step away from the hustle and bustle of our very modern, digital world! This amazing trek to the First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX, has been a tradition for more than 150 years.
The First Monday grounds are quite expansive (spanning over 450 acres), so make sure to keep the parking and walking maps handy during your visits. It is also important to note that First Monday does not actually take place on Mondays. It used to, but our vendors and shoppers deserve a break! The market now takes place Thursday through Sunday prior to each month’s first Monday. You can check out the market’s calendar online. Those who come to First Monday on Thursdays and Fridays are known as “pickers,” as they arrive early to scoop up the best deals and prized hidden gems.
